ydouthink needs your help on a new TV commercial!!

Written By: Lamar: Wednesday, 10 February 2010

You’ve seen the ydouthink commercials on TV: the girl licking the garbage can that’s super gross, or the kissing commercial that everyone loves. Click here to check out all the ydouthink commercials. Well, ydouthink is working on their latest TV commercial and they need our help figuring out which tobacco fact to feature.

Today, Y St. is launching the ydouthink Commercial Survey Project, a limited time project opportunityto collect short surveys from teens. The project is super simple. Get your friends to fill out a short survey on which tobacco fact they think is the most interesting and powerful. The favorite fact will be used in the new TV commercial.

You in? Time is limited, so sign up for the project today. Here’s the rundown:

- 1 survey = 3 points, so you only have to get 20 surveys to complete the project.

- All completed surveys must be mailed back to Y St. Headquarters by Tuesday, February 18 (postmark date). We need to let the commercial director and production company in LA know the top fact, so it’s a strict deadline.

- You have the option to print out the surveys yourself so you can get started right away. You’ll get an extra 0.5 points for every survey you print and mail back to Y St.

If you’re wondering why Y St. is working with ydouthink…

ydouthink is a tobacco prevention campaign funded by the Virginia Foundation for Healthy  Youth, who also funds Y St. The difference is that while Y St. is all about youth-led advocacy, ydouthink reaches out to middle school kids with TV commercials and radio spots. It’s all for the same cause, though, so we should help them out anyway we can!

It’s common knowledge that tobacco kills. Until recently, tobacco only came in cigarettes, cigars, and chew. That’s all changed with the roll out of many new tobacco products that literally melt in your mouth...
